Me under the Delicate Arch
July 15, 16, 17th, 2003
Roll (my cat) and I decided to take a quick three day drive over to Moab, Utah. Moab is by far my favorite city in Utah. It is a mysterious desert land with deep canyons, large mesas, eroded arches, natural bridges, and much more. Moab is considered one of the mountain bike capitals of the world. The outdoor activities are endless. This was my fifth trip to Moab. Since I only had three days for the entire trip, I confined my adventures to the Arches National Park. Here I hiked several trails in the 104 degree dry heat. The longest, hardest, and most worthwhile trail was to the famous Delicate Arch. (See the picture above) Sorry I didn't take many pictures, but here are a few below. Overall, I had a great time. Roll got a little tired of sitting around in the room at the Motel 6, but she did enjoy the drive. Also, we visited Colorado National Monument in Grand Junction, CO on the way back. Here Roll took a nice hike with me on the top of an enormous mesa. Overall it was a great three days! How I love and cherish my road trips. -Mark
